We are an organisation for the older resident, male or female, and try  to provide safe activities for your enjoyment  or why not just relax in our lounge area with a cup of tea or coffee and chat to your friends.

Come and join us , all you have to do is visit our premises, first have a look round and note our activities and facilities, if you like what you see and  it’s the kind of thing your looking for, ask for a leaflet and join the “Club”, you may have a friend who is a member already.

Come along on Mondays to Saturday from 10.00am until 12.00pm and then 2.00pm until 3.30pm on these days.

Our Committee members, team leaders and kitchen helpers are all volunteers.

Have a look at our notice board or our enclosed Activity List for activities and think about joining in. If you would like an activity made available contact the Committee.

From time to time we provide events for your welfare when outside organizations come along and present their services designed to help the senior citizen, you can also request an event which may assist you.

On Tuesday’s and Thursday our friends from the RVS provide a Luncheon Club for a small sum. Details of this is found on their “MSCA Luncheon Club”page.

We provide regular coach trips to places requested by members for £10.00 members and £15.00 non-members.

Every year we provide by ticket purchase a Hot Pot Event and Christmas Party with entertainment, as well as events to celebrate National days when appropriate, see our Event Calendar page.

We host both local Probus Groups, Marple U3A, Local Ramblers, Birdwatchers, monthly SMBC Area Committees, Remembrance Sunday, and the Hall can of course be hired by other local interest groups or just for social purposes during the day or evening. Please see Other Activities.

What do we want to achieve?

= A place where older residents can meet their friends in

comfort, and talk in a friendly secure atmosphere.

 = Enjoy various activities.

= Provide activities that members have suggested.

= Help the older citizen overcome loneliness.

= Help people make new friends.

Please Note:

We have facilities for anyone with a disability, and have no problem with any elderly person with a handicap or illness as long as a carer accompanies them, our volunteers are not qualified carers.
